So sorry to hear about Joan's death. My wife, Marilyn (Carasik) Soneshine went to Grady High School. She passed away on May 12, 2004. Paul and I went to Emory the same time. Joan, Paul, Marilyn, myself, and two other couples played bridge for several years. We had dinner and then played cards. The thing I remember most about Joan was her great smile and upbeat attitude. The last time I saw her was at the Cancer Clinic where my wife went also. She was with Susan. Her mother taught our kids in religious school and her parents also played cards with Marilyn's parents.

Joan and I grew up on Cresthill Avenue and attended Grady H.S. together. My condolences to all who knew and loved her. My memories of her are sweet.

I was so sorry to read of Joan's death.I worked at "The Place" with Joan in the eighties. She was always smiling and worked so hard.I knew Jennifer and Susan as they also worked there at times. Joan was always so proud of her children and so devoted to Paul...
they lived out their promise to be there for one another "in sickness and in health." She was remarkedly strong in facing the challenges that life gave her. I will always remember her joy and concern for others - family, employees, and customers. My deepest sympathy to you, her family. May she rest now from her labors and enjoy the place God has prepared for her.
