Family-Placed Death Notice

Joseph S. Altschuler, age 68, of Stone Mountain died suddenly while teaching a class at church on Saturday Jan. 27, 2007. He was loved and admired and will be greatly missed by his wife of 48 years Juanita, his 2 sons Mark Altschuler of Buford and David Altschuler of Hillsboro, OH, 3 grandchildren, Simon, Jason, and Olivia. Also survivng are his brother Leslie of New Jersey and sister Sheila Weiss of Virginia and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and numerous in-laws, godchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan. He was a very active member of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. He was a model railroad enthusiast and lover of music and played the harmonica. The family will receive friends from 5-9pm Tuesday January 30, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rosary being recited at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass will be 11:00am Wednesday at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Donaghey officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker.
