BLAIR, III, Joseph Joseph Robert Blair, III, 54, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on November 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Joseph R. Blair, Jr.; paternal grandparents Joseph R. Blair, Sr. and Ellen P. Blair (nee Marling); maternal grandparents John M. Scordo and Margaret C. Scordo (nee Neary); paternal aunts, Virginia Peppler and her husband Henry and Janet Cobb and her husband Bernie; cousins Nancy Ellen Cobb, Lisa Thompson-DiCarlo, and Cory Scordo. He is survived by his beloved mother Rosalie M. Blair (nee Scordo); sister, Cynthia L. Rodriguez and her husband Mark C. Rodriguez; brother, Christopher W. Blair; nephew, Justin M. Rodriguez and his wife Jayme; nephew, Joshua M. Rodriguez and his wife Kim; maternal aunt, Margaret C. Thompson and her son Robert; maternal uncles Donald M. Scordo, Jerry Scordo and wife Carole, John A. Scordo and wife Terry; great-aunt, Laura Neary; cousin Lynn Bill, and a host of many other cousins, family, and friends. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Joseph attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Elementary and Junior High School, Archbishop Curley Catholic High School, Essex Community College, and Baltimore City Hospital's School of Radiologic Technology. While in college, he volunteered as a camp counselor for the developmentally disabled at Camp Christopher in Sparks, Maryland. Upon graduating, Joseph worked as a Radiologic Technologist for Bon Secours Hospital and Johns Hopkins Healthcare. Joseph later worked for Medrad, Inc., training hospitals around the United States in the use of injectors for CT and MR Imaging. In 1989, he moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia. After leaving Medrad, Inc., Joseph began working for Gwinnett Medical Center's Imaging Department. He eventually transitioned into the roles of hospital education and joint commission compliance within the Imaging Department. Joseph was blessed with many talents and gifts. He had a sense of humor and a smile that could truly light up a room. He was able to find humor in almost any situation he encountered. His passions and hobbies included reading and landscaping, and he was an accomplished cook. He will be missed more than words can say. His legacy will live forever in the hearts of his adoring family and friends. Joseph's family sincerely thanks Reverends James Harrison and Joseph Mendes for their constant prayers. Heartfelt thanks are offered to all family and countless friends for their love and support of Joseph. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, from 4:00-8:00PM at Wages and Sons Funeral Home on Lawrenceville Hwy. in Lawrenceville. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Church followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph's name to the St. Marguerite D'Youville Mortgage Fund at 85 Gloster Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
