Family-Placed Death Notice

Celebration of Life Services will be held for Reverend Joseph E. Boone, Civil Rights Activist, on Saturday, July 22, 2006, 12:00 Noon at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, 524 Fairburn Road, N.W., Reverend Gregory A. Sutton, Pastor, officiating, Dr. Walter L. Kimbrough, Eulogist, with remains placed instate at 9:00 A.M. Interment, Lincoln Cemetery. He is survived by former wife, Alethea Williams Boone; two daughters, Jolaunda (Reginald) Campbell, and Andrea L. Boone; one brother, John (Alvia) Boone; one sister, Lois (Otis) Montgomery; two grandchildren, Re'Joseph and Meleah', a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and the Civil Rights community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joseph E. Boone Memorial Fund, 2165 Wallace Road, S.W. Remains will be placed instate at 4:00 P.M. at the Historic Rush Memorial Congregational Church with family hour from 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., 150 James P. Brawley Drive S.W., 404-525-6320. Willie A.
