Family-Placed Death Notice
HOLMES, Paul, Jr. Mr. Paul Douglas Holmes, Jr., age 37, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009. He was born July 23, 1972 in Miami, FL. Mr. Holmes was a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Douglas County Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife Jamie Holmes; daughter Alexandra Holmes; parents Jane and Paul Holmes, Sr.; and sister Ruth Holmes, all of Dallas, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 31, 2009 and Friday, January 1, 2010 from 4-8 PM. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Douglasville with Pastor Jerry Helton officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Paul Holmes Memorial Fund at any Wachovia Bank branch. To Paul's Wife and Daughter and his EMS Family: I am so sorry to hear about Paul. I worked with Paul at Coastal in Florida and he always was smiling and he was a very special paramedic. Paul is what I call a "true" Paramedic. someone who really cares about his patients and loves what he does. He never had the "big head" syndrome. Please know that the Fire/EMS Family here in Brevard County, Florida will miss Paul and all of you are in our hearts at this time.

Words can not explain how deeply ALL our hearts are hurting, but none greater than that of his loving wife Jamie, and his beautiful daughter Alexandra.
