Family-Placed Death Notice

Robert A. Adamson of Doraville died April 5, 2006. He was born in Atlanta on April 1, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert A. Adamson and Lois Pons Adamson. Mr. Adamson was a member of Tenth Street United Methodist Church. He graduated from O'Keefe High, attended Ga. Tech and served in the U. S. Navy. Upon his discharge, he worked for Lockheed/Georgia and later worked as a tool designer for Grumman Aircraft in Savannah, Ga. Upon his return to Atlanta, he was a mason with North DeKalb Lodge #714 F&AM in Brookhaven where he served as Master Mason, Past Master as well as secretary and treasurer. He is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald and Jo Anne Adamson, Tucker; William and Colette Adamson, Columbus; Daniel and Ginger Adamson, Ball Ground; one niece, seven nephews, one great niece and two great nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8th at three o'clock at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Interment, Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta, Ga. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to Tenth Street United Methodist Church, 425 Tenth Street, Atlanta, GA 30309. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from two o'clock until the hour of service at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, 404-261-3510.
