Family-Placed Death Notice

DURHAM, William William F. (Bill) Durham passed away February 25, 2012, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Bill was born April 21, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia. Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy, parents, Ouida and Frank Murray, and an abundant loving family. Bill's love of life and sense of humor will be missed by his family, puppies, and magnitude of friends. Bill was a pressman for the Atlanta Journal for 36 years. Bill has donated his body to BioGift to support his hopes for finding a cure for this disease. There will be a memorial service on February 27, 2012, at Ingleside Church PCA, 1001 Old Snellville Highway (770-978-3555), Lawrenceville, GA 30044, at 3:00 p.m., to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Durham family. I worked with "Bull" at the AJC for almost 10 years and my dad worked with him for many years before that. He was a kind and funny man who made my time at the AJC brighter when I got to work around him. He will be greatly missed.

Bill will always be remembered for his humor and his ability to make others smile. Nancy, I knew you must be very special since you were married to someone so special. Sorry to here this, I worked with Bill at the Paper back in the 70's and We discoverd that We were actually Cousins of some sort 3rd I think. I had tried to find Him on Facebook a yr or so ago.
