Obituary Condolences

Family-Placed Death Notice

COBB, Jean JEAN WAGNER COBB Jean Wagner Cobb was known by those close to her as a lady. She was an impeccable hostess, an enthusiastic Army wife, a successful fashionista and a dedicated Christian. Jean received a full scholarship to Purdue University to study engineering, completing her studies at the University of New Mexico which prepared her for helping design parts of the atom bomb. It was at Sandia Base where she met her handsome Captain Cobb and became a proud Army wife. They enjoyed the constant moving and the challenge of making each new home beautiful. Their lives included world travel, giving beautiful dinner parties, gourmet cooking, volunteering, hosting Bible study for over 20 years, being founding members of the Church of the Apostles, and raising their three daughters. Jean remained adventurous, curious, and devoted to her friends and family till the end of her life. She taught her daughters and grandchildren to cherish family, to respect life as seasonal, and to enjoy all the finer aspects of life as an art form. Her greatest sadness was the time she spent without "Cobbo." Their reunion, forehead to forehead, is a joyful image!!! Jean Cobb, 88, of Atlanta, died February 24, 2013.
