"We can do it" was always his motto-whether it was building a storage shed, putting a new roof on a building or feeding 500 hungry people. He enjoyed serving his church home- Mountain Park United Methodist- in many capacities. He spent 20 years preparing meals at the church as well as serving as a trustee and usher. Henry was a family man who loved spending quality time with his family at home or at the lake. He also loved being with his many wonderful friends. Survivors of Mr. Allen include his wife, Carolyn Allen; daughters Regina Allen (Scott Dale), and Angela Brantley (Johnny); daughter-in-law Ann Allen; grandchildren Selena (Michael) Temples, Bryan (Teleatha) Allen, Kaylee Allen; and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Temples. He is predeceased by his son Patrick Allen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Park United Methodist Church, 1405 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087.
