Obituary Condolences

PALMER, James James "Larry" Palmer, 81, passed away in Marietta, Georgia, surrounded by his family on Monday, March 3, 2014. He was born in Dallas, Georgia to Lemuel Palmer and Hortense Barber Palmer. Larry attended Hiram High School where he met his wife, Betty Bingham Palmer. After high school, Larry served in the United States Navy. He went on to graduate law school and become an attorney who practiced law for over twenty five years in Lithia Springs, Georgia. Larry and Betty were married for sixty three years and together have two daughters. They enjoyed traveling together, as well as spending time with family and friends. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; daughters Karen Melk (John) and Sherri Muse (Michael); granddaughters Kelsey, Hannah and Madilyn Muse. A memorial service to honor Larry's life will be held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Macland Chapel located at 3940 Macland Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127 on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 3:00 pm. The family will greet friends from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
