Obituary Condolences

WILLIAMS, Mary Elizabeth Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Arnett Brown Williams, age 98, of Atlanta passed away peacefully Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was the oldest daughter of L.E. Cason Arnett and C.C. Arnett. She was born in Atlanta, GA on September 28, 1915. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Olin Brown, Jr. and second husband Cecil Williams; sister, Charlotte Terrell; brothers, Alfred Arnett and Cason Arnett. Elizabeth graduated from Commerical High in 1933. She was a member of Capital View Baptist Church until it closed and then became a member of Southwest Christian Church in East Point. She was a Past Matron of Eastern Star Lebonon #105 in Capital View. She worked seven years at Rich's and then 25 years at Delta Airlines where she retired. She said, "Thanks to God for all blessings and loving friends in Newnan and Atlanta, GA" She is survived by her sons, Charles O. Brown and his wife, Brenda of Jackson, GA, W. Alfred Brown and his wife, Elizabeth of Sharpsburg, GA, David L. Brown and his wife, Shelly of Clearwater, FL; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Charles S. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery at 2 o'clock. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southwest Christian Care 7225 Lester Rd. Union City, GA 30291. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, 770-964-4800.
