COGGINS, Shirley SHIRLEY MAURINE COGGINS Shirley Maurine Coggins, 82 of Roswell, passed away on March 31, 2014. Shirley, the daughter of Carey and Pearl Brannon, was born on January 6, 1932 in California. She attended West Georgia College, and married Ensign Jack Cranford Coggins, a naval aviator, on February 22, 1952. As a devoted wife she followed Jack throughout his Naval career with three children by her side. After Jack's naval retirement and the family's move to the north Atlanta suburbs in 1968, Shirley went to work as a real estate agent first for Spratlin and then Harry Norman. During her over twenty years in real estate she earned the prestigious Phoenix and Crystal awards. Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tom Machamer, and her two sons and daughters-in-law, Carey and Jeannette Coggins and Randall and Ann Coggins; six grandchildren, Erin McCommon and Clinton Machamer, Geoff Coggins and Rachel Gillium and Kyle and Destiny Coggins. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 2 at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in Roswell. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
