Obituary Condolences

HUNTER, Kimber Kimberly Anne Hunter, 38, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Atlanta Hospice Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Kimber was born in LaGrange, Georgia on April 1, 1976. She was the daughter of Eugene and Vickie Woodall. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1994 and Georgia Tech in 1998. After college, she married her childhood friend, Adam Hunter, son of Wayne and Sylvia Hunter of LaGrange, Georgia. They made their home in Decatur, Georgia. She was a project manager at several commercial construction companies in Atlanta, and was most recently a stay at home Mom for her husband and children. Kimber was an incredible person, godly wife and mother and dedicated friend. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, and spent the last full week of her life at the beach with family and friends. One of her favorite trips was with her husband, boys, and family friends to South Africa in the summer of 2011. She is survived by her husband, Adam Wayne Hunter, and two children, Wesley Adam and Charles Harrison at home in Decatur, parents Gene and Vickie Woodall, sister Cheryl Woodall of Dunwoody, Georgia, brother Keith Woodall of Alpharetta, Georgia (and wife Thuy), sister Chris Thurmond of Lawrenceville, Georgia (and husband Phil), and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at H. M. Patterson Funeral Home on 4550 Peachtree Road in Atlanta at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 preceding the services. A graveside service will be held at Meadoway Gardens in LaGrange, GA on Tuesday, April 22 at 1 PM. Two memorial funds have been established in her name. One is for the benefit of the children at Wells Fargo. Those wishing to contribute can do so by presenting a check made payable to the Kimber Hunter Memorial Fund at any branch of Wells Fargo Bank, or by mailing it to Wells Fargo Bank, Northlake Festival, 4099 LaVista Road, Tucker, GA 30084. The second memorial fund is for the Comprehensive Cancer Center at West Georgia Health in LaGrange. Contributions can be made to the West Georgia Health Foundation at 1514 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240.
