Warren AZAR Obituary
AZAR, Warren Warren Joseph Azar, age 75, of Atlanta passed away on April 27, 2014. He was born on December 23, 1938 in Atlanta to the late Nicholas and Mable Azar. Warren graduated from Marist High School and the Pharmacy school at the University of Georgia. He was a past member of Immaculate Conception in Atlanta and a member of The Cathedral of Christ the King for 50 years. He served in the US Army National Guard and was a Pharmacist, last employed at Physicians Pharmacy in Austell. Warren had many beloved lifelong friends. He will fondly be remembered for being a special godfather and had a passion for racehorses, winemaking, Porsches and as a history buff with a special interest in the Civil War. He is survived by his brothers, Mr. Donald (Barbara) Azar, Dr. Gordon (Dolly) Azar and Dr. Ken (Mimi) Azar; sister, Mary Azar (Jack) Pride; nieces and nephews, Fr. Nicholas Azar, Mabel Louise Stadelmeier, Lynn Azar Foley, Sharisse Azar Johnson, Dr. Gordon Azar, Jr., Marcia Sullivan, David Azar, John Azar, Melissa Azar Gargone, Rebecca Pride Pihera and Jonathan Azar Pride. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Joseph, Siab and Donald Azar. The family will receive friends Wednesday at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. The Funeral mass will be held at Cathedral of Christ the King on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
