WAGES, Robert Robert Eugene "Gene" Wages, age 80, of Monroe, GA, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014. Mr. Wages is preceded in death by brothers, Doy Wages, Boyd Wages, Sr; sisters, Ernestine Smith, Betty Mask; brother in law, Charles Brownlee, Sr; son in law, Denny Hartnett. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ellan Wages; daughters, Deborah Hartnett, Denise and Loy Swanson and Diana and Brad Sweetwood; twin sister, Christine Franklin, sister in law, Judy Brownlee; 4 grandchildren, Lonnie Moon, Robbie Huff, Paulette Moon and Lorrie Lavengood; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members. Gene was a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County, he was the owner and operator of Gene Wages Plumbing Co for many years and after retirement he then worked for Gwinnett Co as Chief Plumbing inspector. He was a Past Master of Snellville Masonic Lodge #99 where he was a member for over 50 years and was a member of the Yaraab Temple. Gene was a longtime member of Snellville First Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and many friends. The Funeral Service to Honor the Life of Robert Eugene "Gene" Wages will be on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel with interment to follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
