WATTS, Armand Armand C. "Dick" Watts, age 93, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. He was an executive with Bostitch-Textron and retired after 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having participated in Landings and Campaigns of North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Southern France and the Rhineland. He was a life member of the Atlanta Athletic Club, YAARAB Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite and Masters Lodge. He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Ann, daughter, Tandy, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mr. and Mrs. Watts were avid sailors, participating in sailboat racing on Lake Lanier in the 1960's. They moved their activities to the St. Petersburg Yacht Club in Florida, where he worked with the Southern Ocean Racing Conference and later to San Diego, CA, where he was an official with the America's Cup organization for three race series in 1988, 1992 and 1995. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Peachtree Memorial Park. On line condolences can be expressed at www.crowellbrothers. com.
