Obituary Condolences

ANSLEY, Jr., James Sr. Chief Petty Officer James Ansley, age 80 of Conyers, died Monday, August 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Edna Ansley, Sr., step-mother, Elizabeth Burch Ansley and sister, Elizabeth Smith. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Ansley, Conyers; daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth of Conyers; grandchildren, Kane and Lanette Ledbetter, Corey and Vanessa Ledbetter, LeAnn Ledbetter; 7 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas David and Debbie Ansley; sister's children, Mellie Smith, Dewitt Smith; and 7 nieces and nephews. Mr. Ansley's mother died when he was young and he was raised by his step-mother, Elizabeth Burch Ansley. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served for 21 years. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel; interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 12 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
