Obituary Condolences

MAZZIOTTI,Sr, Anthony Anthony "Tony" John Mazziotti, Sr. was born on February 23, 1924 to Elizabeth Ann Mazziotti and Thomas Joseph Mazziotti and died August 13, 2014. He was a first generation Italian American immigrant who grew up in Hoboken, NJ. At 18 years of age, the US government drafted him into the infantry during World War II. He served his country honorably and after the war, enrolled in Seton Hall University under the GI Bill, where he received his B.A. in accounting. After graduation he first worked in the banking industry and became an accountant for the US government. He later found his passion for sales and became a manufacturer's representative selling men's apparel. Tony later met Rickie May and they married each other in 1967. They moved to Atlanta and had two boys, Tony and Tom. He was a husband, father, coach, and what can only be described as a unique character. Tony lived a full life and he will be missed. Tony is preceded in death by his wife Rickie. He is survived by his sons, Tony and Tom, his daughter-in-law Jennifer, and his three beautiful grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Caroline, and Thomas. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph and his sister, Phyllis and is survived by his sister, Delores A Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church with a reception following. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
