BOOTH, Gene Anne MRS. GENE ANNE BOOTH Mrs. Gene Anne Booth of Cumming, Ga. Passed from this life on Friday, June 13, 2008. Born on October 30, 1943 in West Plains, MO, she married George Booth on December 27, 1961. She was known for her tireless service to others, her involvement in church activities, an infectious laugh and a heart-warming smile. Her family consists of her devoted and loving husband of 47 years, George Booth, son and daughter-in-law Dane & Christy Booth, son David Booth and granddaughters Kayla and Meagan Booth-all of the Atlanta area. Her family also consists of her mother Agness Hill (of West Plains, MO) and father Eugene LeBaron (of West Plains, MO) sisters Jayne McElmurry (of West Plains, MO) and Wanda Robertson (of Hemet, CA) and brother Terry LeBaron (of Mountain Grove, MO). Gene worked for the Maritime Administration in the Department of Transportation in Washington DC as a Program Analyst, where she retired in 1997. Gene was loved and honored by her coworkers and received numerous honors and awards during her career with the Maritime Administration. Gene was a member of the Springfield (Virginia) Church of Christ where she lived and served not only the congregation but her community as well. Upon retirement, Gene, along with her husband George, moved to Cumming, Georgia to be closer to their sons and particularly their lovely granddaughters. After moving, Gene continued to serve and gain the love and admiration of so many others as a member of the North Atlanta Church of Christ. Her favorite volunteer work involved the Forsyth County Seniors Center where she delighted in helping so many with her forthright manner of involving herself in their lives and by brightening their days with songs. Viewing will be at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, Ga. 30076 (770-993-4811) on Tuesday, June 17 from 2 pm until 4 pm and 6pm until 8 pm. Memorial services will be held at the North Atlanta Church of Christ (5676 Roberts Drive, Atlanta, GA 30338) on Wednesday, June 18. An additional brief viewing will be at 10am and the service begins at 11 am. Graveside services will be held at the Willow Springs Cemetery, Willow Springs, MO on Saturday June 21.
