WAGGONER, Carol Ms. Carol Lynn Dobson Waggoner of Gainesville, passed away in the company of her family and friends Monday, August 25, following an extended illness. Carol Lynn Waggoner was born in Northampton, MA., on July 17, 1948 to Warren Spencer and Lillian Blake Dobson. She grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated from Druid Hills High School in Decatur, followed by Loyola University School of Dental Hygiene in New Orleans. She held a strong passion and love for her vocation as a Dental Hygienist for 35 years. Carol Lynn has been a resident of Gainesville since 1974 and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She devoted much of her time serving her community through the Hall County Junior Service League, Gainesville Children's Theatre, Altar Guild and Flower Guild of Grace Episcopal Church, Hall County Court Advisory Board for Child Abuse cases and NGMC Auxiliary. She was also an avid tennis player and member of the USTA Tennis Association. Survivors include daughter, Crista Leigh Waggoner; son, Jeffrey Tad Waggoner; sister, Diane D. Wilson; nieces, Wendi W. Brown and Holly S. Wilson; great-nephews, Blake Brown, Brody Brown and Dylan Arnold; aunt, Dorothy Towle of N.M., cousins, Cynthia Killacky, Dr. Marjorie Tussing, all of CA., Debbie Shekter of N.M, and Betsey Dobson of MA., in addition to many loving friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday August 28, 2008 at 5 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Doug Daily and Rev. Don Harrison will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason and Ward Funeral Home and immediately following the service in the Parish Hall at the church.
