STOVER, Joseph Joseph Chastain "Red" Stover January 26, 1919-October 1, 2009 Reverend Joseph Chastain "Red" Stover, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 26, 1919 in Chestnut Mountain Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hayes Stover. He is survived by his Daughter and Son-In-Law, Gayle and Terry Douglas of Mableton, GA. Two Granddaughters: Katrina Gayle Ramke and Angela Robyn Leverett. Four Great Grandchildren: Christopher Joseph Ramke, who is named after his great grandfather, Jeffrey Grant Brake, Jr., Andrew Michael Brake, Ainslee Gloria Marie Leverett. One Brother: Horace Benjamin Stover. A very dear friend from childhood: Ms. Louise Parsons. "Red" and Louise went separate ways during their childhood and after many years and the death of both spouses they were reunited and still had been the best of friends. Ms. Louise Parsons also served as a caregiver as did granddaughter Katrina Ramke and Terry's sister Betty Godwin. Brother Stover was a Pastor in Florida. He served as an evangelist and has preached innumerable revivals all over the Southeast during a very rewarding sixty years in the ministry. He also retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad after over thirty-five years of service. Visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Castellaw Funeral Home located at 866 Church Street, Smyrna, GA. 30080. Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the Castellaw Funeral Home Jonquil Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Post and Brother Larry Ritch officiating.
