Family-Placed Death Notice
GRIMES, Frances MOTHER FRANCES GRIMES Funeral Services for Mother Frances Grimes of Atlanta, will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 11:00 AM at Greater Jehovah Baptist Church, 2 Roger Arnold Road, Grantville, Georgia 30220. Remains will be placed in state at 10:00AM Senior Pastor Christopher McCambry will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Bishop Gerard A. Ancrum of Bread of Life at the Cathedral, Decatur, Georgia. Interment Grant- ville City Cemetery, Grantville, Georgia 30220. Mother Grimes is survived by three loving and devoted daughters Beverly Hutcherson (Lonzie), Sylvester, Georgia; Trellis Young (James), San Antonio, Texas; Kathy Grimes-Leftwich, Riverdale, Georgia; son Leon Grimes, Riverdale, Georgia; grandsons, Bernard Brown, Riverdale, Georgia; Technical Sergeant Patrick Brown, USAF, Goldsboro, NC.; a very loving nephew Barham Lundy, Grantville, Georgia; two brothers-in-law Cleveland Grimes (ldella); Rayve Grimes (Maggie), a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 1465 Hawkins Street, Atlanta, at 9:15: AM. The family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made payable to Albany State University Foundation, 504 College Drive, Albany, Georgia 31705 (memo section: In memory of Reverend Eck and Frances Grimes). My cousins; Beverly, Trellis, Kathy and Leon. I celebrate with you the beautiful life of your mom and my cousin, Marie. All of my life, Marie & Eck was all I have ever known. Marie's beautiful smile,loving and kind sprirt was her trade mark. She was a loving and caring mother who dearly loved her children and made every effort to make sure they knew their relatives on both side of the family tree. Any place I saw Marie, she would greet me with a warm hug and smile. My last communication with her was simply beautiful. She had that assurance about herself that all was well and she was ready and waiting on the Lord. Her loving smile and glow was the indicator. I am truly blessed that our path crossed and to have had Marie leave everlasting memories and positive imprints on my life. I bid her farewell because I am looking forward to seeing her again on the other side. Sleep my dear cousin and take your rest. You accepted the task and fought a good fight with bravery and honor. With sincere love.

Trellis and Family, You have Larry's and my deepest sympathies. I feel as if we were on this journey together ever since your mother was diagnosed.
