Family-Placed Death Notice
GLOVER, John John Lee Glover, 82, of Alpharetta, passed away on January 12, 2010. The son of John W. Glover and Ada Lee Phillips was born on March 21, 1927 in Glover Gap, West Virginia. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Later he graduated from the University of West Virginia. He married Alice Patricia Moore on December 28, 1948, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. John worked for Keystone Magazine company in Charleston, West Virginia, Columbus, Ohio, and finally in Atlanta, Georgia. Later he worked for Southern Educators in Atlanta and was their top salesman every year. He is survived by his wife, Pat; his brother, Bob; daughters, MaryLee Sleeth and Patty Charlton of Alpharetta, daughter, Theresa Parrish of Douglasville, and son John Glover of Cumming. Other survivors include five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One granddaughter, Lauren, preceded him in death. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Sandy Springs.
