Bird I., and I just heard the news of the passing of a LEGEND! Our Pal AL. We shared a number of good and memorable times on the road, with Al and Family. Bird and Al worked together and had a wonderful working/ friend relationship. I also had the privilege of spending time with Al,Susan, Paul, Anna, and Britta! St. Lucie, FL was truly a GREAT time for all of us...a cherished memory for sure.
We can only imagine the loss you all are feeling, as no doubt there is a void that will never be filled...We are so sorry for the the loss of your Husband, father, grandfather, brother, Uncle and cousin. May memories of days gone by, give you a peace, and a comfort to endure.
Blessings and love to all,
Bird I. and Linda Johnson

Lee and I have been keeping in touch with each other more so than any other family member. I spoke with Lee just a week before he fell ill. We were planning to go fishing this spring. The first time in perhaps more than 30 years. Lee always talked about his family. Lee loved his family so very much, especially his grand-children!
Lee, I love you, and will miss you.

Im the neice of whom I would call "Uncle Lee". Last time I saw Uncle Lee was at my granfathers funeral...even know it has been many years since I have seen him, reading and hearing all the wonderful things that has been said about my uncle makes me have a smile on my face. But Im sadden to know that we will be missing a wonderful person that has touch so many hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Susan, their children and all the grandchildren and for all the other family and friends that loved Lee.

Al and I were good friends for over 30 years. He was a hard working professional. We made a lot of memories together . I hired him for Bechtel Power in Midland, Michigan when he got out of the Army. I feel the deepest sympathy for his wife Susan and the whole family. He will be missed by many.

Via con Dios my friend.
