HOOD, Timmonte Timmonte L. Hood was born May 30, 1982 and passed on July 4, 2010 in Atlanta, GA. Most recently known for his character portrayal of "Big Bird" on the Sesame Street Live tour. He was also on the Arthur Live and Raggs Live tours. A devoted member of the YEA (Youth Ensemble of Atlanta), Children's Imagine It Museum of Atlanta, Camp Broadway of the Fox Theater, Do It Miss Celie, Wild Party, A Day in the Life, Urban Holiday Soup, A Midnight Summers Dream and a host of dance troups known internationally. He is survived by: mother, Beulah H. Walker, Father Timothy "TP" Powell, 3 brothers, Timothy, Timmandre Hood and Amadeus Powell, a sister, Alexus B. Williams and Taishiawanna N. Powell who preceded him in death, Mark Stancil of Big Brothers of America, grandparents, Mary and Sinclair Roberson, godsister, Thyjuan "Trinity" Antoine, Timeshie Yancey and Latoria B. Mitchell; godbrother, Amir Blaylock and godmother, Carolyn Blaylock, best friends/brothers, LaCorey Powell and Justin Evans. Other family, grandparents, Rev. Louella and James E. Wilson, Louella Ramsey, (preceded him in death), aunts, Sarah Lyons, Cassandra "Pokey" Powell Perkins, Juanita Worthy, uncles, Jimmie Lee Powell, Horatio Hood, Michael Hood, Joseph Hood and Mark Hood, sister-in-law, Charlene Hood and niece, De'Aysa Hood and nephew, Timothy Hood, Jr., godgrandmother, Carolyn Lowe and godaunt, Ruth Macklin and a host of devoted friends and co-workers from across the world.
