Family-Placed Death Notice

MILLER, Nancy Nancy Jean Kelly Miller went to be with her Heavenly Father after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer on August 16, 2010. Born in Dothan, Alabama on October 21, 1946 to James and Martha Jean "Polly" Kelly, she received her BA of Education from Sanford University, and a Masters Degree of Education from The University of Alabama where she met her husband of 40 years; Ed Miller. Nancy was a true southern lady who embodied the concepts of kindness and hospitality to all she encountered. She was always loving, gracious, and had a talent for making others laugh. She was a devoted wife, mother, and "Nana". She was passionate about the happiness of her family and her friends - especially her co-workers and students at The Wesleyan School where she taught the 3rd grade for 14 years. Her positive attitude, zest for life, and commitment to excellence always brought out the best in others. Nancy is survived by her husband, Ed; her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris & Ashley Miller and James Bradley and Emily Miller; her grandson, Davis; her brother, David Kelly and nieces, Whitney McNair & Ashley Kelly. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm August 19, 2010 at The Wesleyan School Chapel and the family will receive guests an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nancy Miller Fund at The Wesleyan School Development Office, 5405 Spalding Drive, Norcross GA 30092. Arrangements by: Junior E.
