Family-Placed Death Notice

HOWARD, Thomas Thomas Curry Howard 1961-2010 Tommy died Saturday September 25, 2010 at his home in Maitland Florida. He is survived by his two precious children Ryan and Alexandra and his two brothers Samuel (Bo) Howard of Hartwell, Georgia and Lynn Howard of Cumming, Georgia. Tommy was a graduate of The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia and the University of Georgia Terry School of Business. As a successful sales and marketing executive Tommy held various positions with wineries and beverage distributors and was world renown in the industry. Most recently he was national sales director at the family owned estate winery of Gundlach Bundschu where he was known as another member of the family. He was widely known in the industry and will be remembered for his willingness to help, teach and mentor others, at all levels, all along the way. Tommy was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 13, 1961 and grew up in Atlanta. In 2004 he moved the family to Maitland where he established his current home, raised and educated his children and built new friendships. Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park on Monday September 27, 2010 at 12:00pm. Thereafter his remains will be returned home to Atlanta, Georgia for a final memorial service to be held at Northside United Methodist Church on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 11:00am, after which he will be laid to rest in the Church Memorial Garden with his mother Maryann Curry Howard. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to First United Methodist Church of Winter Park designated for either Missions or Interfaith Hospitality Network. Tommy was the youngest of three brothers - but likely the wisest and with the most capacity for love. We will miss you friend, dad and brother and WE WILL KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON, just like Memah said.
