Elmer Applegate Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
APPLEGATE, Elmer Elmer Applegate passed away on July 10th 2011 in Woodstock, GA. He was born in Rahway, NJ on September 5th 1934 to Henry and Mary Applegate. Elmer graduated from General Pulaski Technical High School in Bayonne, NJ in 1953. He attended New Jersey Institute of Technology and was hired by Western Electric as a draftsman in 1953. He quickly moved up to a packaging engineer and retired in 1993 from AT&T. Mr. Applegate was a past Worshipful Master in Lafayette Masonic Lodge No. 27 F&AM. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and sister Claire Hanson, brothers Walter Applegate and Raymond Applegate. He is survived by his wife Alice (Beth) Applegate of Woodstock, daughter Carolyn Applegate of Woodstock and son, Scott Applegate of Naples, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Woodstock, GA. Condolences may be offered at www.woodstockfuneralhome.com

Beth, we were so saddened to hear about Elmer. We'll always remember his laugh and great attitude. He had an irreverent sense of humor that we thought was spectacular and always on the mark. We will miss him.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF ELMERS PASSING. AS A NEIGHBOR OF BETH AND ELMERS WE WOULD SEE EACH OTHER OUTSIDE AND TALK AND LAUGH ABOUT LIFE'S TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES GO OUT TO YOU BETH AND YOUR FAMILY. I WILL MISS ELMER'S SMILING FACE AND GREAT LAUGH!
