Family-Placed Death Notice

HUSTON, Ruth Ruth Huston, age 89, of Tucker, Ga., died Monday evening, August 22, 2011. She retired as an accountant from Norfolk Southern Railway after 37 years of service and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tucker where her service will be Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00am. with Dr. Dave Kivette and Rev. Morgan Hay officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Ga. During WWII, Ruth was a welder at N.C. Shipbuilding Co. in Wilmington and at Bell Aircraft Corp. in Marietta working on the B-29 Superfortress. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gene Huston and her son, Gerald Huston, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Dan Mealor of Tucker, grandchildren, Nick and Amanda Huston of Johns Creek, Melanie and Jason Grigsby of Winston-Salem, NC, Ben Huston of Atlanta, Joseph (A.J.) and Katherine Mealor of Warminster, PA and Brittany Mealor of Tucker, great granddaughters, Hailey Huston and Hayden Huston, both of Johns Creek, sisters, Jessie Smith of Stone Mountain and Marilyn Martin of Toccoa, brothers, Charles Sheriff and Ed Sheriff, both of Toccoa and her daughter-in-law, Penny Washburn of Roswell. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel 770-564-2726.
