Family-Placed Death Notice
SMITH, Jeremy Jeremy Michael Smith, a young man full of joy and life and great love for everyone he encountered, died Tuesday after a motorcycle accident in downtown Atlanta. He was 27 years old. His was a life marked by the grace of his Savior Jesus Christ, from whom Jeremy drew his inspiration, creativity and zest for life. He cared for his family deeply; he made friends in every sphere of life. He gave of himself and his time selflessly, creating works of art for charity, or spontaneously helping those in need. e loved extreme sports and being outdoors: rock climbing, fishing, mountain biking, and walking his dog, Julie. He was a whitewater rafting guide in Tennessee, and a state championship wrestler in high school. By training, he was a dedicated architect, a talented visionary who designed buildings, furniture and even chairs (from cardboard!). He is survived by his parents, Paul and Janet Smith, of Fayetteville, Ga.; his sister Rachel and brother-in-law Stephen Davis, of Washington, D.C.; and his sister Rebecca, of Athens, Ga. Funeral services will be held Sat., March 24, at 11 a.m. at New City Church, 3355 Old Jonesboro Road, Fairburn, Ga.
