when I last saw Jake, he was going through leftover stuff from the store and urged me to take whatever I could use. I chose a few spools of gift wrapping ribbon which I still use. (They were big!) When I use them, I think about Jake and his kindness and generosity. He put everyone at ease with his humor - I still tell people his story about visiting the Pope who asked about his bad haircut.
I think he was one of the greatest people I have ever met, and I was proud to be his "cousin".
He would be so appalled at the state of politics and democracy in this country today. It would not happen if there were more leaders like Jake.

One of the best men I ever knew is gone, but he will live in my heart and the hearts of so many others. I never spent any time with Jake without laughing. His presence warmed the room. Today they sang Ayl Molay Rachamim in his memory at Beth Hillel Minyan in Wynnewood, PA.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Jacob, he will be greatly missed. Jacob was blessed to live a long, full life. Psalms 90:10 says that those who live to be 80 and older have "extra strength", Jacob had that. May you keep fond memories of him always in your heart as you seek comfort and peace from God in this time of grief.
