STREIFF, III, Frank Frank Arthur Streiff III, age 60, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013, following a long illness. Born in Savannah on December 16th, 1952, Mr. Streiff was the son of Virginia White Streiff and Frank Arthur Streiff, Jr. He was educated at Wilder Junior High School, Savannah High School, and The University of Georgia where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Frank was employed by Great Dane Trailers. On April 13th, 1985, he married Ann Caroline Haynes of Atlanta at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. They had two children and were married for almost 28 years. While living in Savannah, Frank and Ann were members of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. In 1989, Great Dane Trailers transferred Frank to Knoxville, Tennessee where he was the manager of the Great Dane Knoxville office. While living in Knoxville, Frank and Ann were members of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the Fox Den Country Club. Following his retirement from Great Dane, Frank and Ann and their two children returned to Savannah in 2011. Mr. Streiff was a former member of the Savannah Yacht Club, the Savannah Golf Club, and The Debtors' Club. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman who had many friends and many nicknames. As a father, Frank was always devoted, present and dependable. He loved his family as well as any man ever has. Over his long battle with cancer, Frank's attitude was always honest and upbeat. Frank is survived by his wife, Ann Haynes Streiff; two children, Caroline Virginia Streiff and Frank Arthur Streiff IV; two sisters, Virginia Streiff Jennings (Allen) and Beverly Streiff Carson (Walter); stepmother, Ann Mitchell Streiff; parents-in-law, Jack and Caroline Haynes of Atlanta; sister-in-law, Christine Dodge and her husband, Simon, and their son, Charles Dodge; niece, Virginia Paige Carson Cook (Chris); nephews, Walter Charlton Carson III (Angela) and Jeffrey Allen Jennings (Christina); great nieces, Langley Louise Carson; Devan, Hayley, and Hayden Jennings; and great nephews, William Charles Cook, Carson Charlton Cook, Walter Charlton Carson IV, Ward Patch Carson, and Taylor Jennings. A special expression of thanks is due to Hospice Savannah and their caring, professional staff of nurses, physicians, and volunteers. A memorial service will be held at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, 412 Parkersburg Road, on Sunday, March 10th, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Frank's memory to Hospice Savannah, Post Office Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416; or Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA 31406.
