To the Family,

The loss of Sam is very sad. Sam Mac, as we knew him in college will always be in my memory and in my heart. Sam made my days at Clark memorable. He always had a good time to give you and helped me through being homesick with an occassional out to dinner meal. I had the great pleasure of speaking to Sam not too long ago and this was a reconnection of over 20 years since my graduation. Wow, leave it to Sam, we were able to pick-up right where we left off. I am thankful for that long phone conversation and will miss him very much. Sincerely Eugenia and Family

My prayers are with the family during this time of bereavement. I teased "Sam" about being very talkative (as he was in college) at Clark Atlanta University's Homecoming in October 2005. He had not changed. (Words of Comfort - Matthew 5:4, Psalm 27:14, & Psalm 121:1.)

Sam Turner was one of the most charismatic individuals that I had ever met. He made my tenure at Southwest High School(class of 72) most memorable. I will truly miss his smile and those identifiable "bow" legs. Remember a place has already been prepared for Sammy, and those of us that believe will see him again.

I am totally shocked and deeply sadden to hear of Sam's passing. I just saw him at homecoming in October. We've been getting together every year at homecoming for years. Seeing him was always a highlight of the festivities.

I was in denial of his passing until I actually saw the full announcment notice with photograph in today's paper.

My heart and prayers go to the family. Although we may never understand his reasoning God does know best. This life was only part of God's promise, Sam has moved on to the next phase...eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
