Family-Placed Death Notice

DAVIS, Gerald Gerald Lee Davis, 64, of Duluth, GA, passed away May 31, 2013. Gerald was a self-made entrepreneur, being the owner and CEO of GDI, 3-D Holdings, and Truck Central, as well as several other businesses, employing hundreds of people who all respected and thought very highly of him. He had a passion for the outdoors, camping, boating, and spending time watching his dog, Lucky, playing in the creek at his cabin in the N Georgia Mountains. During his younger years, he was in a band and enjoyed writing music, playing the guitar, and singing. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 5th, at 2:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Eleanor Davis of Duluth; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Davis, Jr. of Douglasville, Shawn Davis of Dekalb; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Davis and John Hagood of Gwinnett, Michelle Lea Davis and Tim Watts of Dekalb; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Johnny Stowe of Dekalb, Rebecca and David Lloyd of Gwinnett; grandchildren, Kayla Shattles, Jacob Shattles, Gaia Watts, Julian Watts, Tobiah Watts, Amber Gorlesky, and Nichole Davis.
