Family-Placed Death Notice

PARKER, Jr., James Dr. James Perry Parker, Jr., of Atlanta, died Sunday, June 30, 2013. He grew up on his family's dairy farm at Hogansville, received his pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, and retired as a pharmacist from Miller's Rexall in Atlanta. He was a member of Peachtree Christian Church, and was very proud to have been a licensed private pilot for over 40 years. Survived by his wife, Mary Ann Parker, Atlanta; daughters and sons in-law, Wendy and Ruben Marchand, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Christina and Bill Wunner, Dallas; son and daughter in-law, Robert and Pamela Parker, Sierra Vista, AZ; brother and sister in-law, Jack and Peggy Parker, Hogansville; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Perry and Dorothy Norris Parker, and brother, Charles Richard Parker. Graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Rev. Burt Parker officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at McKibben Funeral Home in Hogansville. www.mckibbenfuneralhome.com
