Family-Placed Death Notice

WORKMAN, Dorothy Dorothy Wayne Workman, 90, of Norcross, Georgia, peacefully passed into the presence of Jesus on July 30, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Richardson, and her son, Danny; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter in whom her "Granny Dot" delighted. After retirement from Southern Bell Tel & Tel., Dorothy enjoyed travelling with friends and volunteering as a Pink Lady at Gwinnett Medical Center. She also contributed her time and compassion to assisting people through the Norcross Cooperative Ministry. She was an active participant in and dedicated office holder in several organizations: Gwinnet Council for Seniors, Best Friend Club, AT&T Pioneers, Norcross Woman's Club, and Cherokee Rose Civic Association. She was a long-time worshiper of her Lord and Savior at Norcross First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends to celebrate her life an hour before the service. Rev. Alton Miller will bring the message at her going home celebration at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, in the Chapel at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth. Interment will be at Mt.
