A man of strong Christian faith and a great example to those around him, he was a member of Campus Church of Christ, and volunteered weekly with the Norcross Cooperative Ministry for over twelve years. Mr. Evans was also a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club in Duluth, where he enjoyed many rounds of golf over the years with some of his closest friends. Defined by his love for his family, Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his brothers Dewey Evans and Kenneth Evans, and his sister Mary Comstock, and is survived by his wife Lee Evans; his sons Michael Evans of Brookhaven and David Evans (Sarah) of Dunwoody; his grandchildren J. Harrison and W. Palmer Evans of Dunwoody; his sister Carolyn Eberts of Walnut Creek, CA; his sister-in-law Dolores Evans of Huntsville, AL; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
