Family-Placed Death Notice

TSIVOGLOU, Julaine Beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, Julaine Doran Tsivoglou of Atlanta passed Wednesday evening after a long illness. Predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 59 years, Ernest Constantine Tsivoglou, she was born in 1925 in Minneapolis, and adopted by George and Frances (nee Rothmeyer) Doran of St. Paul. Attending parochial schools in the archdiocese, she graduated from St. Josephs Academy and the University of Minnesota, where she met Ernest. Taking a break from studies during WWII, she worked for a year in a war plant in the Twin Cities, soldering tubes and parts for aircraft radios. After college, she and Ernest married and moved to Ohio, first to Columbus then Cincinnati, before settling in Atlanta in the 1960s. She is sorely missed by daughter Stephanie Campbell Smith and husband Peter of Surrey, England, sons Peter and Andrew of Atlanta, granddaughters Laura Julaine Tsivoglou of Atlanta, Mary Charlotte Tsivoglou Ferguson and husband Brett Ferguson of Asheville, NC, and Alison May Campbell Smith of Cambridge, England and grandson Andrew James Campbell Smith also of Cambridge. Loved by all for her sweet disposition and lovely blue eyes, Julaine was and is forever the only soul-mate the Lord created for Ernest, as he was for her. Funeral Mass will be held 10am Tuesday October 15, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, followed by burial with Ernest at 230pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Julaine asked that donations in lieu of flowers, be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, 1884 Randolph Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105.
