Family-Placed Death Notice

CARLTON, Georgia GEORGIA WILLENE CARLTON Georgia Willene Carlton, age 77 of Flower Mound, Texas passed away, December 20, 2013. She was born on June 10, 1936 in Tampa, Florida to Joseph George Carlton and Willene Attaway Carlton. Throughout her childhood, Georgia grew up as her and her family moved and lived in various cities in the South as her father worked for Seaboard Airline Railroad. After her birth in Tampa, Florida, she lived as a young child in Richmond, Virginia. They then moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she began her education in the Catholic schools. They moved to Hamlet, North Carolina, for a short time where she attended a public school, but they then moved back to Jacksonville, Florida, where Georgia finished her middle school education. Just prior to her high school years, they moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Christ the King Catholic School and graduated with honors. After graduation, she attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. On June 22, 1957, Georgia married Jimmie McCauley, and they later had three boys and a girl. After raising her four children, Georgia entered the work force and later became a successful executive secretary for the CEO of Lanier Worldwide in Atlanta, Georgia. After retirement, Georgia moved to Flower Mound, Texas, to live near her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. After losing her battle with melanoma cancer, Georgia has gone on to be with her Lord and Savior living her life in eternal glory. She is survived by her children, James Ewan McCauley, Jr. and wife Kate, Joseph Carlton McCauley, Vincent Reed McCauley and wife Valerie, and Julia Anne McCauley Iniestra and husband Fernando; father of her children, James Ewan McCauley, Sr.; sisters, Jane Nied and husband Walter and JoAnne Leike and husband Richard; grandchildren, James Ewan McCauley III, Catherine Aubrey McCauley, Anna Willene McCauley, Kelsey Ann McCauley, Madison Reid McCauley, Skylar Paige McCauley, Madeline Reid Iniestra McCauley, Stephanie Marie Iniestra McCauley, Nicole Monserrat Iniestra McCauley, Preston Sledge and Nolan Sledge; nieces, Carlton Leike Gorman, Laura Anne Leike and Anne Nied Brewer; nephew, John Nied; cousin, Jim Attaway; and numerous extended family and many lifelong friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 23, 2013 at Rolling Oaks Memorial Park in Coppell, Texas.
