Obituary Condolences

RICHTER, Charlotte CHARLOTTE JANE RICHTER of Alpharetta GA died quietly on Saturday evening January 4, 2014 at her favorite place, her home. Charlotte treasured her marriage to her loving husband and best friend Bill Sr., who passed away in October 2006. She is survived by her brother Frank Weick (Ruth, Denver CO) and her children. Son, Bill Richter Jr. (married to Lynette) and daughter, Sally Jane Hoover. Charlotte found great joy with her grandchildren, Daryl Hoover, Kathryn Richter, and Michael Richter -- and two precious great grandsons - Logan (5 ½ ) and Eli (3 ½). Charlotte was born in Denver CO on November 7, 1925 to Frank and Jane Weick and spent her formative years there, attending the University of Denver. Charlotte found her life's work in teaching English and Literature and she found a deep satisfaction in teaching English as a second language (ESL) through an outreach at her church. Charlotte also relished her chance to sing in the choir at Alpharetta First United Methodist where God has provided caring friends, Sunday School Class, gifted preaching - a true church home and family. Charlotte, enjoyed a life of faith and service , always reflecting her great sense of humor . We will all miss her but we celebrate her life and know Charlotte is in the gentle, healing, and loving care of Our Lord. We are grateful to the staffs with Comfort Keepers and New Century Hospice for heart felt care. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 19 at 3:00 PM at AFUMC. In lieu of flowers, it is Charlotte's request that a donation be given to the church. Donations may be sent care of AFUMC 69 N. Main St. Alpharetta GA 30009, Thank you.
