CUMBIE, Van VAN F. CUMBIE Van F. Cumbie, 61, of Hampton, died Friday, February 14, 2014. Van was the owner of Airport Mortuary Shipping Service in Hapeville, GA. He was a member of the Masonic Order, a Shriner, Kiwanis International, a board member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of GA, Georgia Funeral Directors Assn., National Funeral Directors Assn., Independent Funeral Directors of GA, National Funeral Directors & Morticians Assn., and the Cremation Assn. of North America. Van is survived by his parents, Carlyen F. & Cora Bussey Cumbie, Lilburn; a sister, Carlene Cumbie Adams, Stone Mountain; brother & sister-in-law, John & Cindy Cumbie, Monroe; nieces & nephews, Kelli Adams, Samantha Cumbie, John Cumbie, and Kyle Adams; many aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends; and his beloved cat, Mikey. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22nd at The Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive, SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery's Old Main Gate By 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the South Fulton Shrine Club, 71 Postal Parkway, Newnan, GA 30263.
