Mr. Keelin was a great Man that all of my friends and I growing up looked up to. The accomplishments and vision he presented was a bench mark we all strive to achieve. Leadership such has his; is what created the core and thread of the fabric that weaves the foundation of America! God rest his soul, and the time shared with all of his ability.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Kim and Jim about 4 weeks ago. Jim had just completed his subdivision entryway improvement which required a tremendous amount of his tractor expertise in 90+ degree days. I was in awe about his modesty and all the unique things he did to make his lake house and development so perfect for his family. During the visit he was also troubleshooting the house air conditioner down to a capacitor in the outside unit. Low and behold he knew he had saved the exact part from a previous unit he had replaced. His plans were to change the connectors on the capacitor to make it work. Last I saw him, he was headed to his soldering iron, enthusiastic and confident that another issue would be resolved. Kim just smiled and enjoyed her dad as he fixed another issue.

Not even 3 weeks ago Jim was on his front-loader directing the reseeding of our subdiv entryway and he was as happy as a clam. He loved working and was always helpful to the residents of Waterside.
We miss him already.

Jimmy Keelin and I attended CAMP DIXIE up in Wiley, Georgia (just south of Clayton) back in the late 30s. "POP J" was the owner/director. Since 1937 or 1938, I think I saw Jimmy somewhere and we talked about taking sauna baths and then jumping in the lake. Jimmy was a few months older that I was. I have a picture of him and me and all the members of our cabin one summer. Call me at (404)233-6036 Thank you. Spencer Brewer

I am very sorry to hear of Big Jim's passing. He certainly lived his life on his terms, an enviable life at that. He was amazing and will be sorely missed. I will call as soon as I am back from Houston, God bless you and yours, Karen
