LAURENS, Rhett H. Rhett H. Laurens, 53, of Atlanta, died on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Rhett was born in Atlanta to the late Robert Scott Laurens, Sr. and Dixie Puckett Laurens. A graduate of Oglethorpe, Yale, and Harvard, Rhett was an attorney and a CPA who founded his own successful law and accounting firm. His greatest successes are those who survive as testaments to his life: his wife and two children. Survivors also include five brothers and two sisters; nieces, nephews; and countless friends who loved him dearly. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Calvary Church in Dunwoody, where Rhett was a devoted member. Memorial donations in memory of Rhett may be made to Calvary Church, 5067 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, GA, 30338

I am sorry to learn of Rhett's passing. He was a neighbor, a friend and a great lawyer. We had done some work jointly together, and it was always a pleasure to work with him. My condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Rhett through Atlanta Rollergirls. He was a smart man who kept our organization in line and taught us many things about business. He will be missed. My thoughts are with all of Rhett's family and friends.

I called him "my friend". He came in my life when I needed a good person by my side. I am from Chile living in the States. My husband past away and I was on my own with two young children and the Good Lord put Rhett in my path. He was a kind, gentle and caring person. My prayers with all the family specially with the little ones.

Forever thankful to Rhett for being so good to my dad in the hospital and assisting my mom when my dad passed, advising her and helping her with the estate and all that came with that. You continued to be a support to our family throughout the years. I pray you have found peace, and I pray peace and comfort for your family...especially your wife and children.
