Wow. I worked for Mark at Cooley`s Café in Midtown in the mid 90s.
He crosses my mind from time to time, and for some reason I woke up this morning, thinking of him. I googled his name and came across this terrible news. I know that it´s been nearly a decade since this happened, but do you know that he made a great impression on me and I was always impressed by his spirit and values.
We actually both grew up and Dunwoody and as a very young man at the time it just moved to midtown. I thought that was amazing.
I pray for his wife and children and anyone that knew him and I´m lifting you all up in my prayers.

My deepest CONDOLENCES to your family. Mark was indeed a great person and by far the BEST landlord I have ever had. Just one of those people who made a LASTING an impression. Brightened up a room indeed! Just one of those people, after meeting, who changed a life forever. Mark will truly be missed. Rest Well.

Obituary passage, "Always on the go and known for his high energy," Oh boy that was that Mark. I didn't know Mark for long, we only coached together for a short time during our sons' 6th grade football season, but he was 60 mph for the whole practice. Cared deeply about the boys, was always upbeat and positive. He was especially supportive of my son that year and for that I am grateful to Mark. I hate it that I have to write a tribute for a man that wasn't here long enough, but I hate it more for his family that will miss such a positive and loving man.

Dear Dee-dee and Family,
It is with a saddened and heavy heart that I write. With many tears, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
With Mark's passing, I recall many wonderful experiences of being blessed to have him in my life. His natural gifts of always giving and never taking the path of least resistance left an indelible mark on me since the day day we met. I count and carry many blessings of his knowledge he shared with me; and there many.
His strength was amazing and in my heart, I know he passed it on to you and the boys. His energy, happiness and love for life was infectious. It will live on through you and your children...
May God and his Holy Spirit be with you all during these difficult times and may you all carry on Mark's GIFTS of life.

Dee-Dee and Boys, Aunt Barbara- we send our condolences to you all. Our hearts are deeply saddened and truly sorry for this great loss. We pray you experience the comfort and peace of God surrounding you all. Mark, an amazing person will be missed tremendously. He was a dedicated person to his family and career. Mark all ways seemed to be determined and focused when he decided to accomplish a task. He was a few years older than me, but I did look up to him as I think most of us Tingle younger cousins all did. He may be gone but never forgotten! I am very sad to hear of Marks passing. I had the brief pleasure of coaching football with him in 6th grade. Mark was a kind soul that cared so much for Chase and the other boys. Mark will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers from our family to yours.
