Family-Placed Death Notice
Rev. Lillian C. Waters, age 88 of Clarkesville, died December 17, 2007, at her residence following a sudden illness. Born in Fulton County on May 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John Hubert and Annie Thompson Cornett. She was the Founder and Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church having served in the ministry from 1962 until the Lord called her home. She was also the President of Worldwide Christian Fellowship for 12 years and was involved with missionaries and ran crusades throughout the United States, Caribbean Island, Germany, and Mexico. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Roy Wilson and brother, Rev. Paul Cornett. Surviving are husband, Rev. Paul J. Waters of Clarkesville; daughter, Rev. Linda Paula Waters of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Janice and Eddie Sudderth of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. John C. and Dr. Marilyn Waters and David Timothy and Clifteen Waters both of Alpharetta and Stephen P. and Catherine E. Waters of Hollywood; brother, Donald Cornett of Leesburg, GA; sister, Vera Coble of Loganville; she is also survived by 09 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 09 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church with Dr. John C. Waters and Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Amy's Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Waters will be placed in the church where the family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral hour.
