Merle W. Anholt, 98, of Atlantic, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Heritage House in Atlantic.

Merle is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Ann Anholt of Atlantic; his daughter, Sharon (Richard) Woodward of Lewis; his brothers, Joe (Evelyn) Anholt of Cedar Rapids, and Robert (Marilyn) Anholt of Apple Valley, Minn.; his grandchildren, Christy (Scott) Ulbrich of Maple Grove, Minn., Ryan (Lisa) Woodward of Lewis, Lindsey (Austin) Bullington, of Yorkville, Ill., and Oriana (Michael) Brandt of Austin, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Annika Ulbrich, Malena and Reid Woodward, Joslyn, Jackson and Jasper Bullington, and Arlo and Zeke Brandt; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. A time for visitation will take place after the memorial service during the luncheon, also at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
A private interment of cremains will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, at a later date.
