Timothy John Waters of Melbourne, formerly of Massena, passed away Wednesday July 3, 2013 surrounded by family that loved him. As were his wishes his body was Cremated, therefore there will be no service. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 2 p.m. in Cumberland, at the Community building. A lunch will be provided.

Tim is survived by his three children: Son Timothy Jay (Barbara) Waters of Parker, Colo., Crystal Leonard of Clemons, Andrea (Dirk) Lashnits of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren Timothy Stewart, Eilis Marie, Seamus Martin Waters, all of Parker, Colo., Dakota Michelle, Alexis Nicole, of Clemons; Kaicee and Trinity Leonard of Ackley; four sisters: Beth Mills (Lary) of Massena, Jean Young (Kenny) of Atlantic, Joan Carr (Larry) of Corning, Kim Wood (Ted) of Massena; brother William Waters of Massena.
Tim was born on Nov. 26 1945 at the hotel in Massena, the son of Terrence John and Kathleen Marie Waters. Tim was employed ty the Department of Transportation after high school 1964. In 1966, he joined the Navy with his friend Donnie Fletcher. Tim served aboard the USS Trigger and the Nuclear Von Steuben Submarine. In 1970, Tim returned to the DOT and worked as a preliminary surveyor for 35 years until his retirement.
Tim's hobbies included: Fishing, Golf, and had a love for Baseball (#1 Cardinals Fan),Horse shoe pitching, 8 Ball pool leauge, and reading books, one or more a week. Tim especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved hire.
