Robert L. Drenner, 70, of Malvern, formerly of Cass County, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2014, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Robert was born on Dec. 18, 1943, in Cedar Falls, the son of Orville and Edith (Southard) Drenner. He graduated from C&M High School in 1962. Following graduation, Bob enlisted in the United States Army.
Bob will be remembered for his enjoyment of coffee and was lovingly referred to as "Coffee Bean."
Bob is survived by his wife, Jolene of Malvern; his children and step-children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gloria (Gary) Jaeckel of Wichita, Kan., and Rhonda (Roger) Steinbach of Springfield, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Edith; and younger brother, Dennis Dean.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 4, at the Waubonsie Church, south of Glenwood. (Take Levi Road South 7 miles from Highway 34)
The family has requested casual attire be worn for the memorial service.
