Mary Rotherham McClellan, 94, formerly of Atlantic, passed away at her home in Roseburg, Ore., on May 23, 2014. She was born May 27, 1919, in Gering, Neb., to John and Lucinda Emma (Keith) Rotherham. In 1984, she moved from Atlantic to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Roseburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace McClellan; five sisters, Julia Hansen, Alice Hansen, Faye Busse, Genevieve Mathisen and Margaret Murphy; and her step-son, Merlin McClellan.
Mary is survived by her son, Colbert (Jane) McClellan of Ithaca, N.Y.; daughter, Marsha (Michael) McLain of Roseburg, Ore.; step-children, Wallace "Bud" McClellan and Landis McClellan both of Prague, Okla.; and four grandchildren in San Jose, Calif.. Mary leaves many nieces and nephews in the Atlantic, Council Bluffs, and Omaha areas.
She touched many in her long life and we all know who we are. She was a treasure in life and in death we have the greatest joy of her love. She returns to Atlantic to be with her family, who have been waiting for her return. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place.
