Dear Jim, Renee and Family,
It's just not right to see you all have to go through this. I know nothing anyone can say or do will ease the horrific pain of your loss, but may you find some comfort in this poem a friend shared with me:
For each thorn, there's a rosebud...
for each twilight — a dawn...
for each trial — the strength to carry on,
For each storm cloud — a rainbow...
for each shadow — the sun...
for each parting — sweet memories
when sorrow is done.
—R.W. Emerson
So cry, yell, scream...and then bask in all the wonderful, sweet memories you were able to share with Jimmy.
All my love,
Aileen

My dearest Renee, Jimmy and precious family,
To read and hear about Jimmy's struggle with Lymes disease all these years is hard for this friend's heart to bear. I cannot imagine the crosses his wife, daughters, family and especially Jimmy had to bear.
All my thoughts, prayers and most importantly, my love goes out to each and every one of the Katches.
God called Jimmy home, he suffers no more. That is God's grace. He has promised that we will all one day see our loved ones again, hold on to that promise.
I love you all, and will see you on Saturday. Until then, stay strong in God's loving and compassionate embrace.
